CONVEX MIRROR
SEBASTIAN WRONG
PRINCIPAL COLLECTION

Design/ 2005

Description/
An interpretation of an everyday automotive piece of equipment; the rear-view mirror is the basis of Sebastian Wrong’s humorous design for the Convex Mirror. By exaggerating this well-known form and placing it in an unfamiliar interior environment, Wrong has made iconic a most non-iconic object. The convex curve of the mirror surface is manufactured using instrument quality mirror technology normally reserved for use in aircraft simulators.

The mirror is finished with a precision injection-moulded casing of tactile plastic and is mounted on a fully adjustable ball-jointed wall fixing; creating a multi-directional mirror, which can be positioned at different angles as well vertically or horizontally.
